You're telling me these two are comparable in terms of genetics? We are very dark actually, But not like the south sudanese. We're maybe 2 shades lighter than them, But its not a bad comparison
Who are the "black" ancestors then? i remember reading somewhere that if we are similar to any other people its the nilotes. Aren't they some of the oldest tribes too?Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong..
Nilotes are not the 'black' ancestors of Horners. They are from what is now the Central African Republic/Southwest Sudan. They aren't the ancient inhabitants of the Horn. Modern Nilotes carry lots of lineages and markers totally absent in the Horn. They are not our forebears at all.

Y'all in denial af. maroon to black skin is the somali shade. Since you love to act like a fake woke historian, you should know that somalis way back in the day valued and idealized maroon skin, and so through natural selection it makes sense way the majority of somalis are dark. dont delude yourself sis, were not all yellow skinned, despite what you might wish. they are a minority amongst a MAJORITY of BLACK SKINNED SOAMALISKnowthyself is a darkie who is trying to smear all Somalis as extremely dark because she is blue black herself. Not all of us look like you.
im not talking about modern day nilotes, this admixture is extremely old. They don't exist, at least no the ones for Somalis.
Nilotes are NOT the ancestors of Somalis. There is no haplogroup B, L1c, L5 in Somalis at all. And Nilotes are tainted with West African ancestry. They are not proto-Horner whatsoever. Just something close-ish, but not it.
Why are you so scared of being compared to other africans? Its not a bad comparison. We do share many thing in common. Religion, Its culture is very influenced by Somali, Ethiopians and Ugandanese culture, Also its nomadic culture. Our feautures may not be the same, But we still share the same african dna. You're telling me these two are comparable in terms of genetics?

Give me a break.
these people haven't spent a day in somalia sis, they all live in ice cold scountries and want to discuss skin tones smh. they all have pent up self hateWe are very dark actually, But not like the south sudanese. We're maybe 2 shades lighter than them, But its not a bad comparison

This is exactly my point. They are a mixed bunch and if you've lived there it's obvious to tell. Some are completely Arab looking and others are a mix of white/arab/black. Idk about genetic studies tho.i've seen egyptians with green eyes, olive skin and rough african hair, I've seen browner ones with large noses and straight hair, I've seen ones who look steryotipacally north african, and ones who look more lavent, I've also seen ones who look like north sudanese people but light skin. they are a bunch of mutts. it would be ignorant to only call them black or white

I never said they were negroid relax manThat guy is completely Caucasoid. Nothing Sub-Saharan about him. The tan is from the sun, not Negroid ancestry.
Have you seen Egyptians living in the West? They are the same skin tone as Arabs. They aren't magically more Negroid than them. Moroccans are actually the most Sub-Saharan of all the big North African countries.
Most africans are mixed though, theres no such thing as 100% pure anything. the ansestors of somalis looked nothing like we do now facially. cushitics and nilotes probably had more in common then say a bantu or khoisanIt wasn't Nilotes. They are not what the ancestors of Somalis looked like.

yes historically they are a mixture of all three and its obvious. i wouldn't ever call them white or black. and arab is just a culture/language so thats the most honest answer. This is exactly my point. We don't@Amun Well do we share dna with South Sudanese or Ugandan people or is she spewing horseshit
I'm sorry sis somalis aren't lighties whether you like it or not. the majority are dark through natural selection.Y'all a bunch of morons. There's no point in discussing race and ancestry with a bunch of noobs. I'm out.
Where is jamaacatul DNA when you need themY'all a bunch of morons. There's no point in discussing race and ancestry with a bunch of noobs. I'm out.
