Are Indian Americans breaking up with the Republicans ?

“Saar we hate those lazy Blacks and Muslims too saar please accept us” MAGA after using them “Stfu jeet and go back to India” lol

On a more serious note tho, Indian Americans (speaking only for those in the USA) are an excellent group. They make positive contributions to the country, 1.4% of the population but 6% of taxpayers, with very low crime rates. They also try their best to integrate into American society. Excellent group overall that we should learn from.

Unfortunately for them, many “conservatives” are too ethnocentric. And lately, they’re not even trying to hide it. It’s barely been a month and they’re already going hiroshima nagasaki, spooking not just Indian Americans but nearly everyone who isn’t far right.

If Democrats are smart, they will capitalize on this golden opportunity. Distance themselves from DEI, ditching pedo far-left extremists, open borders nonsense, and excessive spending could easily secure two or more term wins. I see a blue wave incoming if Walmart Nazi Elon H1B musk keep up the good work.

Most Indian Americans vote Democrat.

Underperforming Cadaans are just jealous of how successful they are.

There is not much to learn from Indians if imma be real. A lot of them are just economic brain drain from their own country , that depletes their country' of skilled educated labour pool and resources, wealth etc to benefit Western corporations who down pay them and restrict their rights. They don't enrich India but enrich whites who hate them.

It's the opposite for Somalis. Somalis in America send 500 Million of remittances each year out of the 1.9 billion globally that go back to Somalia from their hard earnings from work/jobs and businesses, that even goes to into becoming investment vehicle for the country and foreign exchange reserves.

Cadaan Americans are always livid about it and resent the fact that we use their opportunities to enrich our home country.

Somalis in America have a high business ownership rate of 20-25% which is double the American average of 10%, 4-5 times higher than Black Americans overall (5-6%) and self-support index rating of 80-90% and 80–90% employment rates. Basically low rates of reliance on public aid, high self-employment rates, and a thriving community with increasing business ownership and household wealth.

So contrary to the resentment they spew in the text i showed above we are highly self-reliant, we don't take more than we give. They are angry at Somalis sending hundreds of millions abroad, but large American corporations send billions overseas (outsourcing, tax havens), yet individuals sending remittances are scrutinized. Yaab wallahi.

Somali Americans are following the classic immigrant pattern first-generation builds businesses, second-generation moves into high-paying careers, from higher education and white-collar jobs.

Sure, but they helped the GOP win few key districts and more of them were warming up to the party. Mexicans and other Hispanics even more so. Many people were getting tired of the far left, which Democrats were catering to.

Now this autistic E is swinging the pendulum to the opposite extreme. U think it won’t have an effect??

I agree about America depleting India’s talent and causing long term brain drain. But how exactly are they enriching whites? My older brother cleared $200k last year. Who cares if it enriches others. Let everyone eat. No need to be a hater

It’s not just $500 million. it’s much more since many OGs are from Ethiopia and Kenya and send remittances there. Even many other Somalis relocate their families to Kenya and other countries and send money there.

We’re talking billions of dollars yearly that could have been invested in their futures and their kid’s.
Instead, they chose to stay in the projects and low-income neighborhoods, increasing the chances of their kids becoming low life scum.

Tbh I try not to be too harsh on the first generation for reasons I’ve already mentioned. But the younger millennials and Gen Z need to catch up quickly and avoid making the same mistakes with their kids.
If most of them think like you, then the second generation is already fuked.

What businesses did the first generation even create? Section 8 businesses?
Literally among the lowest earners in America. Beating alcoholic cali beysteen and hillbillies in appalachia isn’t an accomplishment when you live in the wealthiest empire in history that literally prints gold out of thin air.

Indians are number one, which is why I’m saying we need to learn from more successful groups. There’s no shame in learning.

"which is why I’m saying we need to learn from more successful groups. There’s no shame in learning."

The key too raising successful children in america is by raising them in two parent, educated, middle class households.

That's literally the blueprint. The best students nationwide come from these households.

I know a few Somali kids raised in households like this and they've turned out great. My cousins are a good example. My uncle is an engineer and has given his kids a great life.

India loses 160 billion yearly and 2 million labour shortage crossing various fields, they don't even have bare minimum of skilled or educated workers in their country and unlike Chinese who take back with them technology and trade secrets, India takes with them resources and trade secrets from India.

Also they don't benefit from it in the same way that an average American worker would in the same profession as them, because they get underpaid , exploited and blocked from rights like social security , insurance or even health care because their employers don't cover. They are almost akin to indentured servants, because they have to do what the employer wants or they have their work visas revoked and sent back.

That's insane , i never thougtht about that. I need look into this more because 500 million remittances is a lot already for a population of 60-100k. Perhaps it's included in the figure.

If they are sending this much money then realistically their median income is quite a lot higher. I'll explain in a few.

We’re talking billions of dollars yearly that could have been invested in their futures and their kid’s.

Somali Americans sending remittances is not unique Hispanics, Filipinos, Chinese, and Indians all send billions yearly to their home countries.

Remittances don’t prevent wealth-building many communities balance both, and Somalis have done this through businesses and group economics.

Majority of the wealth is invested back into the community. Somali remittances are unique in the sense they don't just support peoples basic livelihoods it goes to invest businesses in a country where foreign investment is lacking and there is also a return on investment.

Instead, they chose to stay in the projects and low-income neighborhoods, increasing the chances of their kids becoming low life scum.

This assumes Somalis have a choice to live in wealthier areas. Many start in lower-income areas due to refugee status.

Somali Americans are one of the fastest-growing homeownership groups despite religious barriers (mortgages being haram). So people are gradually moving out.

Education rates among Somali youth are rising, and many are entering STEM, business, and healthcare.

What businesses did the first generation even create? Section 8 businesses?

Somalis had from 550 businesses in 2007 to over 1,500 by 2010, with even more growth today.

Somali businesses include restaurants, logistics, trucking, retail, real estate, and fintech.

Some even focus on community services, which is common in early immigrant business phases (e.g., Koreans started with grocery stores, Indians with gas stations and hotels).

Median household income estimates are under-reported due to informal work, cash businesses, and self-employment.

Somalis also pool resources, reducing living costs, which official income data may not reflect.

If Somalis are sending 500 million or even billions to Africa each year like you suggested earlier, then they need to have an earning power to support it. It's impossible to do that with a median income of 40.000-60.000K . This figure suggest Somalis have a disposable income $9,000 - $12,000 per year after you deduct 20% taxes, and basic expenses 50-60%., that's not a enough to send that much money.

4 per house hold equals =25,000 households. In a popluation around 100.000

500,000,000/25.000 = $20,000 per household per year is what they need to be sending each year to, then their disposable income must be much higher.

They need at least a median income of $80,000 - $133,000 per household to support remittances. Realistically it's probably close to $70K-$90K at the low end with 2 billion purchasing power. Since Somalis engage in pulling of resources and community financing.

I am not against learning from anyone, there is so many communities we can learn from but Indians are quite unrelatable to their situation and how Somalis came to America, we don't have them same journey or priorities.
