Are Somali families close?

I'll start. I personally believe the average Somali doesn't really care about their children. In fact, they'll go out of their way to emotionally abuse their child. This is something that I have observed in many Somali parents. Somalis generally lack empathy, even to the kids they birth.
On what basis do you believe this, apart from your personal experience?

Depends on how you’re family is. I’ve met some Somali families with parents who both hold doctorate degrees (finance, doctor, engineers). And I’ve met some who are in the hood and the parents can’t read and write. Somali families aren’t a monolith in 2021.

Somalis rarely display affection to their children. I admit you can find this in other cultures, but what differs Somalis is an almost complete lack of care about what's going on in their kids lives. Moms would rather be on the phone than do homework with their child, and many fathers act like strangers in their own house, and are only concerned with relaxing after work. Couple that with the emotionally abusive nature of Somali parents, who find nothing wrong with constantly insulting and shouting at their kids

You look like you have some family issues, and it probably resulted in you hating Somali's and Somalia as a country. Instead of being emotional 24/7 seek help abayo, because you definitely need it.

Somali families are not all the same. I know you might be skeptical but emotionally attuned and involved parents exist in the Somali community. I won't lie that poor examples don't coexist as they also do.I don’t blame him. Is it why you are pro everything concerning coloreds? Many of these BLM ethnic women have daddy issues. I might marry a single mother as my 4th wife just to reduce the number of these ethnic kids ending up on the streets with no culture or family. Somalis are a diverse group. There's some loving families with the mom and dad. Then there's some bad households. We somalis are not monolith. There's somalis who are everything the world has to offer
