The reason why some kids leave islam is because of situations like these. From the outside looks this girl lost. She was forced to wear something that she would’ve not do by choice.

The problem in our culture is that young girls must wear a hijab and skirt because of the norm. Especially the skirt is a thing. You see these feminine fanaans? Some don’t wear hijab but they always wear skirt/dresses.

What does our religion teach us? To explain! These girls are mostly forced to wear covering clothes without explanation! The mothers mostly reply with: haa wa ceeb. We should give these kids clear explanation concerning covering.

Somalia would not fix this problem. These kids come mostly broken or angry back. But i can understand the parents they try to help their children. But Somalia ain’t an option for everyone. This is a serious matter in our community too many people become gaal and i am worried. May allah guide her and may allah grant the mom patience

I agree with you on tight skirts and dresses. I wear wide leg trousers and very long coats you can’t see my body shape and yet Somalis give me weird looks while their daughters are wearing really tight skirts you can see their hips, butts and they’re loud and ghetto too on the streets but am the one who looks “gaal” lol the hypocrisy

They took her to Somalia man, the most decrepit, backward, failed society on earth so I don't blame her for being salty at all. 4 years of her life was spent in a shthole. Lets not pretend Somalia is great and dandy, I don't like that hypocrisy.
She was living comfortably and going to private schools there, there are far worse punishments than living like a king in a 3rd world country.

Her shoplifting and going out late when her parents provided everything for her in the West, didn't even make her go to dugsi, makes me think that this little dhocil needs a beating, her parents were too kind to her.

It is a cultural thing people get confused because of this. Those tight skirts and hijab doens’t present the islam. That’s why i don’t always agree with matters from our culture.

I hope genuinely hope if you are lucky enough to be father to a daughter that you take parenting duties very carefully.

No worse fate than seeing your daughter go astray.
