Are there any Somalis that live in Montreal?

I visited recently and I loved it. It’s the best city in Canada if you ask me. Would love to move there one day. But I did not see any Somali people when I went..are there any that live there? If so which neighbourhoods? Anybody on here from Montreal?

As for the language requirement, I speak French already bc like a typical Djiboutian, my Hooyo put me in a French school lol.

Yep lots of francophone Africans in general put their kids in French school here in Canada lol. Bc they already know the language and can help with homework

Are you in Canada? French schools are a Canadian thing lol every major city has French-language only schools and some of the English schools have French immersion programs too

There's a small amount there. The census says there's about 735 there which is surprising because I thought it was less than that and the census underreport ethnic groups. The Somalis there are very irreligious and don't have a Somali identity, 10x more than reer Toronto. There's no sense of community at all and practically everyone has married out.

It's hard to tell. But from the ones I know, they are the largest group but I don't think the majority group. The ones I know are a mix of everyone.

Prolly only major Canadian city with no Somali community. Even Vancouver has their little pockets with Somalis.

I'm Djiboutian too and my mum wanted to settle down in Quebec along with her childhood friends in school who All wanted to go uni over there but hooyo decided to move to England instead.

I have been there at least 50 times and engage with strangers. I know what I'm talking about. So many married to Haitians and Frenchies. Even old man Togane is married to a Quebecois and drinks wine. Muslims in Quebec aren't as religious as other Canadian Muslims as a whole. Everyone knows this. You don't know what you're talking about. Quebec is a murtad's paradise. There's only like 2 or 3 actual masjids in all of Montreal and it has a huge Muslim population of North and west Africans.

They're not racist. They are secular and French extremists. They despise white English people from their own country but love Black immigrants from French speaking countries.
