We had a significant cash injection from the Champions League and finishing second again. Progress, no doubt but we still need to fill that trophy cabinet. An FA Cup and two Community Shields aren’t enough. Arteta needs more tools at his disposal, and while I’m glad he’s making full use of the squad, a couple of key additions 2-3 more players could make all the difference.

Nwaneri and Skelly should also see increased game time in the coming months. Both have already matched the combined minutes of ESR and Vieira from last season, which speaks volumes about Arteta’s trust in their potential.
