My mental.health to be at its best
My emaan to be at its highest
Marriage (with the lack of good Somali men on the market this could take time sadly)
Avoid all sins
Improve in developing good character

Your right i shouldn't generalise or even have said it, but from what i seen on marriage apps where there's many Somali men seeking marriage and scrolling down for hours. There aren't a lot of top tier Somali men, just by looking at their profile picture and their childish poses you can tell they're not serious candidate. Maybe I'm just overreacting or my expectations are high.

Are the majority of Western Somalis using marriage apps to find their spouse these days ?

What happened to the traditional match-making system where families would introduce potential’s in a halal IRL setting ?

Has that tradition eroded , and parents aren’t as involved in the process as they once were ?

Or is it that the standards are much higher than ever before , because women have their own income now & aren’t satisfied with who they’re being introduced to IRL ?

It seems like it. Long are the days were people met each other physically. The internet has made it easy to find potential matches on marriage apps. Some Somali parents uphold the tradition in finding their child a suitable spouse but most aren't involved and expect you to find a man. And also feel like Somali women tend to be awkward when it comes to a man approaching her and would rather do it behind a screen when the option is available.
