Djibouti is literally just a single Somali city with a bit of desert provinces that became a country after a rigged French Vote. This was because if Djibouti joined Somalia in 1977 thr French would have to forfeit their bases in the country and abandon easy Africa totally. Because Siad Barre government banned foreign Millitaries within Somalia.

95% of the population lives in a single port city. Our economy is just the port and our service sector. This is not a real mation.

I don't advocate for Awdal independence, I say that awdal should be re absorbed into the Somali state.

There's no way for me to have hard proof, unless we have some sort of polls. But why would Dir in Awdal want to be in an isaaq dominated unrecognised country with no chance of their clans getting tbe kursi in hargesia. Instead of being in a multi clan federation, Somalia, where they can at least rule themselves properly without having a single clan dominate the politics. It's a very simple answer and we as Ciise and Samaroon could only give one answer.

Wasn't Djibouti trying to invade Zeila only to be pushed back the SNM when the Somali state collapsed? Why you trying to rewrite history. Gadabursi have held presidency in Somaliland? What have they had in Djibouti.

Either way Awdal won't have political power. Riyale Kahin was inconsequential, he was just another member of the former Siad Barre government and was part of the Hargesia Political elite that split off.

How was awdal specificallg ignored by Mogadishu? It was not as rich as xamar but that was basically everywhere outside the capital.

Do you not realise most my family migrated to Djibouti in the recent decades? The only part of my family thay was staying inside Djibouti's borders was the nomadic part of my family, my paternal great grandfather who was in Ali sabieh.
