The FGS didn’t oppose the statement from the UK that violated SSC’s territorial claim and they were trying to prevent khatumo from participating in football, not sure if they succeeded. So that tells me all I need to know. Their fake recognition carries cuqdad

How does recognizing SSc even change anything? The whole of Somaliland is recognized as Somali territory. Somaliland's arguments not only territorial but legal and can be proven by referendum when the time comes so these small territory plays don't accomplish anything except to weaken the Somali government's only real hand which is diplomacy.

Crimea was majority muslim Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian before Russia back then they were called the Soviet Union imported Russians to the region. Borders are changing in developing nations as we speak like how Azerbaijan took over Nagarno Karabakh and we got Venezuala going to war with Guyana

Ottoman Empire ceded Crimean Khanate to the Russian Empire in 1774 after losing a war. The Crimean Tartars who made up over 95% of the population at the time fought to rejoin the Ottoman Empire and the Russians annexed the territory in 1783. Six years later by 1790 around 30% of the ethnic Tatar population had left for Ottoman Turkey of their own choice. As the Tatars were emigrating, the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union encouraged Russians, Ukrainians and other slavic groups to settle there.

During the Crimean War 1853 to 1856 between Russia and the allies (Ottomans, French, British and Italians), Crimea was invaded by the Ottomans and many Tartars left, up to 23% of the total population.

The remaining Tartars were deported by the Soviet Union in 1944 because they were deemed to have worked with the Allied powers during World War 2 as part of a wider collective punishments against ten different minority groups by the Soviet government.

After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, Tartars began to return to Crimea and they now make up around 10% of the population.

Interesting history but none of it seemed to be about a naval base.
