True walaal. We can transform it into an autonomous self-governing region, due to its unique demographics & culture. However, we should encourage Somali migration & make it a Somali-majority island over time. The sole official language should be Somali.

The mehri people will be more than willing to become our loyal subjects, since we have close historical ties with them. They'd be better off leaving that hellhole called yemen.

There is no water on those islands, the locals used up whatever freshwater lens there was. The only way to get water there is to pipe it in from the mainland. Those Islands are worthless for all practical purposes.
