This man used to claim Bantus were indigenous to Somalia and we were recent transplants from Arabia.

Don't generalise. All Somalis have been affected By the civil war, Bantus aren't the only victims. I sympathise with all Somalis and minorities but generalising won't make things better.

I advocate for equal rights for all ethnic groups in Somalia and equal opportunities. Silly Somalis want equal rights in the West and cry racism yet are racist towards ethnic minorities in Somalia.

Most Alshaydanis are Somali Bantus, yet they want to cry victim.

If it isn't AMISOM Bantus raping and killing Somalis, it's the Somali Bantus.

Bantu is a language group spoken by 300-600 African ethnicities(who mostly live in subsaharan africa). Somali Bantus are descendants of Bantus who were enslaved and sent to Somalia. Majority are not mixed with Somalis. the word Somali Bantu was made by humanitarian aid supply agencies to distinguish the Bantus who hail from Somalia from the Bantus who hail from other African countries.

Following the disastrous treatment of Bantus in the Civil War, Tanzania was supposed to take them in as refugees, but they had their hands full with Rwandan refugees so they backed out. Same with Mozambique. The United States had plans to take them in but 9/11 made things difficult for them given that they were from Somalia, and towns that were eager to help them resettle got scared because they thought they were dealing with Somali Muslims. Of course there was also corruption in places like Kenya where refugee slots were basically being auctioned off. Proper resettlement could happen today but that's also unclear

I wouldn't want to live in a country where I'm treated like dirt either. Maybe when this whole Qatar/Saudi Arabia thing boils over Farmaajo could help them return to their ancestral homes, or at least start the initiative to do so. Has Farmaajo ever discussed his views on the Bantus?
