Ameen. You know what I learned and that I had no idea about? (lots don’t either) You don’t answer the three questions verbally. Your heart answers it because if you lived a good life it will answer correctly. But if you haven’t, it’s not like you can practice the answers and still be sinful.

It made me more conscious about how I live.

I've heard a lot of stories about gangsta Somalis who drank, commited zina and done all kinds of things and when they got into an accident or were stabbed and were rushed to the hospital, they couldn't utter the shahadah no matter how hard they tried. It brought tears to their eyes. Alhamdullilah though, they lived to tell the tale. Now they changed their life and adhere to the commands of Allah.
