You tell me, adeer.is this a competition?
both being shitholes is a fact, one being worse than the other doesn't change the fact that they are shitholes. So calm down and let the ppl criticiseYou tell me, adeer.
Yeah but the difference with this one is it's been in peace for Somalia's chaotic thirty years after secession and would've been in a much better situation had they just been granted independence.both being shitholes is a fact, one being worse than the other doesn't change the fact that they are shitholes. don't think so, they have the same mindset as the southerns, they are corrupt, specially from Sylanio times, SL is becoming more and more corrupt over the years, and now there is the handrab. Many SLs have lost the faith on this secession path. What is the point of that if SL don't different from PL?would've been in a much better situation had they just been granted independence.
Not at all mate, the vast majority remain in support of a seccessionist state. Many have never known any different. And Silanyo was corrupt, but that's behind us and Somalia evidently isn't any better. If SL were to join Somalia, Isaaqs would lose significant political influence. And Somaliland is different from Puntland, it completed a deal with the UAE despite not being internationally recognized. Somalia on the other hand, although internationally recognized struggles more so with corruption and is still an undemocratic country. Trust me, nobody wants a reunion.don't think so, they have the same mindset as the southerns, they are corrupt, specially from Sylanio times, SL is becoming more and more corrupt over the years, and now there is the handrab. How was that a strawman?
@shum33 @abdallah @Helios @Bill Cosby
Methinks it would be better if Mehdi Hassan stops making strawman arguements, sabatiging Isaaq in fkd; letting others come to demolish his/her "Isaaq replies" so it might be better to lose fkd by not responding than have someone repeatedly make you lose by making a weak case for you. Who ever debates Mehdi Hassan, know you are literally debating the human strawman of Isaaq
The other problem is mehdi Hassan might end up simply bumping and reviving dying threads you were losing

The north didn't became a sovereign state, it didn't acknowledged the few recognitions the it got from 35 statesSee the question and your strawman answer bolded below:

The Isaaqist answer regarding the difference between MajeerteeniyaState and the North: the North was a sovereign and independent state that passed a Law of Union with the South. However the South never ratified that Law and repeatedly violates it. Majeerteeniya was just a province of the South, not a sovereign state like the North or South
