Berbera Port Upgrade Will Make Somaliland a Political & Economical Powerhouse In The Region

Berbera Somaliland Phase 1 Port Expansion is Complete. It is out of this world

A Jetty in Xiis and Maydh coastal towns in Sanaag are also being constructed. These ports will be fed by Berbera and Tax will be collected by the local government of Sanaag.

Tog Wajale on the western border will have a Dry Port. The tax for goods will be collected in that district before going to Ethiopia.

Gambadhe, Sool will also have a dry port which will be fed by Berbera. The goods will be taxed on arrival to Gambadhe by the local government in Sool, Somaliland.

This plan will have covered all Somalilands regions in the East and West and provide Somaliland with economic dominance in Somaliweyn. The dry ports and jetty in the east will supply places as far as mudug and hiraan. And in the west all Somali region in Ethiopia will be tied to berbera a long with a large share of the habasha market. Taxes in those dry port/jetty regions of Somaliland will be collected by the local governments and used for development projects in those regions

Berbera to Addis Corridor will secure a large portion of the Habasha market for Somaliland. All stakeholders are excited for this project

Sool dry port :silanyolaugh:.

he is talking about future expansion. there are other ports that have larger capacity than that in Africa.
That's true, but that next phase of expansion will be here soon.

Reer Somaliland will be enjoying the fruits of the port even before that gets here. This port is a massive game changer. Reer DDSI will be benefitting massively also, as demonstrated by the large contingent led by Cagjar, that they sent to the opening of this latest extension.
