I got this info from my dad who is eye witness source, he was studying in the national university when the events of 1991 unfolded in the city. USC were already around the city way before December and we're waiting for some reason during this time they pledged a general amnesty for all civilians and officials who left barre, all lot of people tried to surrender and just leave Xamar but not many returned twelve people from my own sub-sub clan tried to get this pardon but we don't know what happened to them after, my father assumed they were shot and he didn't take any chances one and decided to leave with Barre's final convoy.

All of that aside the point here is a smaller organized can always have an advantage in urban combat where numbers don't matter. and the new HAG SNA is neither small nor unorganized relative to AS.
