But what i ask myself is, what where this Hawiye and USC fighting for ? I mean occupying land that is not yours, killing people and looting the country ? Probs never visit homeland, adopted a western lifestyle, speaking af somali will be thrown out the window in the next gen or two, a lot of dhaqaan celis is needed. Our parents kept the somali heritage alive and are failing cuz most dont care about what happens to somalia in the future

True, we were weakened by Siyad Barre and then USC attacked shortly followed by ICU. This was followed up by constant attacks by Habar Gidir the land thieves and the Argagixiso with their mass assasination of our elite (which is still happening).

We still managed to make Puntland a decent homeland.

Besides the death and the destruction that followed the overthrow of Barre government I firmly believe that Somalis seeking refuge in the West is the next colossal failure to have occurred..

I loved life growing up in Holland but I'll change that in a heart beat to grow up in a peaceful Somalia..

My family were doing very well...I would probably end finish studying in an overseas university and come back home to a sunny villa and a wifey...
