The actual counting of the votes happens in the night.

But you need to bring the sealed ballot boxes from all over the district to the district tallying station. So sometimes this could only be done today. Then you need to verify the results from each station and if all the numbers match up, figure out possible disputes and let the final thing be confirmed by the parties again before you put it into the sheet for the district final result. Then everything goes to the regional level, which also takes time from remote districts etc, and unresolved issues are taken there. Finally you gather the data from all the regions for the national result.

The biggest obstacle should be the logistical issues, since they lack proper roads. Everything else could be done in a day. 5 days is a joke.

Yes sxb Mahadcasse and Habar Cafan are a danger to the future of Awdal. They need to be watched and possibly expelled to Djibouti in the future and replace them with the Makahiil of Ethiopia .
