This is a very debatable question, I think it's halal b/c if u think about the concept of cryptocurrency, it puts everyone from around the world on a same playing field, the bankers see this as a threat b/c their monopoly of the financial system will be crushed, I think cryptocurrency is a huge oppertunity for 3rd world nations b/c they can mine their own coins and no longer be dependent on the Rothschild money.

Everybody must realize that electroneum (etn) is #1 most traded coin on Cryptopia, cryptopias daily trading volume is only worth 60million on a good day, mind u etn was hitting 900mill cap all day today at cryptopia

Hitbc has a daily trading volume 700mill+, binance has a daily trade volume at 3+billion, upbit is at 4.5billion daily, bitfinex at 1.6billion daily, Bithumb 3.7billion daily, plus many other exchanges that hit at least 1billion volume daily.

I'm telling u folks ETN is a guaranteed Lambo status this year

If fiat money is haram then cryptocurrency is also haram by default. Although I like the idea of breaking free of the centralized monopoly bankers have on the whole world, money has to have intrinsic value. In Surat Kahf of the Quran the money was buried in the ground and 300some years later when the boys woke up in the cave it still had value in the current world. The only thing that can possibly do this is dinar and dirham (gold and silver).

We now live in a world where escaping from paper money is downright impossible. So in my mind if cryptocurrency eventually takes over fiat then we'll still have no choice but to use it regardless of what Muslims believe. Just something to think about

In conclusion

• Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies are permissible because there is nothing found in them which necessitates they are impermissible.
• Anything impermissible about cryptocurrencies comes from how they are used, whether that be through sale, purchase, trade, or mining. To mitigate any of the dangers and risks associated with this impermissibility the Islamic laws of currency exchange must be applied.
• The claim that they are digital assets and are thus exempt from the rules of Riba is a weak claim in my opinion, based on the nature and function of these assets.
• If one is going to use cryptocurrencies they must follow the rules for currency exchange under Islamic law.
• As a business decision I personally would not recommend anyone to go into cryptocurrencies as I see the market to be one which is extremely volatile and most likely a bubble that’s going to burst.
• These are simply my thoughts on the use of Bitcoin and not a comment on POW (proof of work) or POS (proof of stake) concept which I’m still researching.

Real money will always be gold and silver. Even though our entire world uses fake money and we need it to survive we must know and keep in our hearts the truth. Reminds me of this hadith:

Very cheap buying oppertunity now, portfolio is stacked now, if we continue to go down, I'm picking up more neblio, achain and Carverticle, and clearpoll (all time high was at 10$ now 1.80$ plus only 9million supply), I think the market will drop down to 370billion most of the alt coins will drop down to their ico lvl

Neblio looks like an excellent coin but tbh I'll probably just stack up the few coins I have already. If I weren't a student and were working regularly I'd stack up thousands into crypto but alas I'm restrained atm.
