Almost all that came in the past 5 years are on some sort of temporary residency permit. Trudeau got rid of exit visas and deportations for overstayers are at all time lows. Only a new government will take care of the situation but I'm hoping his very low polling numbers and hints to new polices his government will announce will fix the situation. I don't think he can get away with this. Everyone is complaining, even the Gen Z leftists.
