Well after the Sabean migrations to Ethiopia creating the Habasha race around 1000BC, there isn't really a record of a widescale semetic migration to Ethiopia after that. It was a one off conquest.

Meanwhile Nubia/Sudan has always been connected to the Middle east and Egypt. It had been invaded numerous times by Semetic nations and Egypt back to ancient times. So if would make sense for there to be more west eurasian in their genetics.
