Sure, and what percentage of AA women are light-skin to account for most black men being with black women?

The ones in Africa haven’t been as viciously programmed to hate themselves & even then once they come here or Europe their preferences change. Even in Canada Caribbeans/ west African men marry out at similar rates to the states & the uk. This thread aims to understand what’s driving the deep seated hatred they have

Caribbeans that have been in the UK since the 20th Century do have a problem, however, I don't think this extends to West Africans -- at least not to the same extent. I would wager that upwards of 80%+ of West Africans in the diaspora marry their own.

Having your own language, your own identity (independent of the West), your own cultural traditions and your own community... makes dating/marrying out far less attractive

Caribbeans in the UK don't even have a language of their own; they're just black British people

I don’t think 50% of black men even get married so where are you getting that figure from? What does ‘choose’ here mean? Wife, GF? How do you know they don’t have a lil cadaan on the side?

None of this changes the fact that the educated and well-earning component of their male population regard their women as valuable and marry them at a rate of 83%. This is higher than the 75% for other black men that earn less than 100k.

This is a population that was subject to slavery for centuries; had their leaders assassinated; their movements infiltrated and co-opted; their culture hijacked; their communities flooded with drugs by the world's premier power -- and yet they've contributed more to the world than any African Country in the modern age.

I want to extend to all African peoples (and their descendants) grace and fairness because we tend to tear each other down; we have some Nigerians online calling AA akatas; and we have some AA disparaging Africans without even knowing much about us at all.

Also, the Congressional Black Caucus essentially ended the Second Sudanese Civil War; they brought attention to what was going on and pressured Washington to force both sides to sign the Peace Agreement.

It's not a false narrative, however, some of them do exaggerate and it's fine to push back against that.
