Wallowing in self-pity gets you nowhere. One thing I disagree with is the assertion that white Americans have done nothing to help. They have actually done so much at least these past few decades. So many government programs but black Americans are not taking advantage of it. I'm sorry but that seems like a bit of a you problem. You also have to ask yourself what you are doing wrong for once instead of externalizing your problems all the time. Bootstrap argument is cruel to use when you're talking to a people who have been deliberately made bootless.
It's kind of messed for people to see the most dominant military power on Earth dominating and overtly mistreating an unarmed unnnationalized group of people simply because of our skin color, and for those others who are not under that sort of heavy antagonistic pressure (not saying that others don't have problems) to tell us how to get free. Especially when they do not themselves offer help to those whom they see are in need.
