Actually that may not be such a bad feature. Some people can be blocked by high profile accounts with platforms, however say if you're a journalist who is blocked you will not see anything they post.

They cant reply you or @ you, they're just a spectator to your tweet. I don't think its that bad.

You can make a second account if you're looking for someone who blocked you but with this feature you can't block anyone.

You can mute those accounts. There's no point in a block feature other than preventing that person from engaging with your posts. They can always check your posts from another account.
