Blue states(Democrat) in America subsidize red states(Republicans)

I was watching a Daily show segment and this came up on my recommended feed.

He goes on about how red states have worse health care, life expectancy, health outcomes, educational attainment, infrastructure and higher poverty than blue states. The reasons he gives is that they have worse policies and they distracted by fighting culture wars and ideologies. Blue states have more diversified economy whereas red states rely on a single industry like oil or agriculture among many other things.

But the part where he explains how the blue states basically help keep them a float by subsidizing them was a suprise to me , i did not know this at all.

Most red states suck. They have the lowest wages, worst healthcare, highest rates of unemployment, and are ranked at the bottom of public education. Blue states are the best at everything pretty much.


Red state politicians know this and don't give a f*ck. They enjoy having a bunch of dumbass citizens.

I don't want to hear them complain or blame democrats or blue states when shit goes wrong. They voted for it and they have own it.
