@Abdalla and @Cotton Eyed Joe are still living in the era of when Puntlands pirate industry was flourishing half a decade ago.But now that the pirating industry died their lack of revenue is destroying Puntland from within.They have no major companies nor small businesses.Their goverment doesn't collect any form of tax either.How does their goverment even pay for any expenses nowadays?

Because the OP is from Hargaysa and he was mocking Bosaso. A report that compared both cities shows who's on top and who's underperforming. I purposely chose for this report because it compares both cities head to head, vis-a-vis.

Why are you taking these people serious? Also I'm not refuting that Puntland has higher gdp per capita as you probably think, it is more than possible that it might be the case. The wage gaps in Somaliland and unenmployement etc is a big factor in this.

Can you explain to us how Puntland has such a high GDP per capita with no major companies nor small businesses to generate revenue? Where do these citizens of yours work to generate that high GDP per capita? How does your goverment survive without collecting any form of taxes? What hidden major companies and small business operate within your borders that we aren't aware of? Why can't your goverment even pay their civil servants and militia soldiers each month?

It's simple really, they want you to believe Puntland has a higher per capita income as some sort of litmus test for their economy and how well they're doing

As such with the higher income there should be a higher tax revenue, which means their soldiers shouldn't go hungry (but they do, they resort to stealing and taking over their own government buildings just for a paycheck)

But the math doesn't add up and sadly they'll never answer

The 2002 report proves as far back as that Bosaso was ahead of Hargaysa and the 2017 report confirms Puntland as a whole has a far better living standard, access to education and per capita income than Somaliland.

First of all, the fact that you think you can make that claim based off of your holy report, shows how unscientific and biased your reasoning is....

Secondly, Maroodi Jeex has the same amount of IDPs in half the amount of land as Bari, and they're majority concentrated in Hargeisa.

Thirdly, Hargeisa was rubble in 1988, that's no excuse.
