A third of the article discusses prions. Remember Mad Cow Disease? People could contract it from eating tainted meat. By far the highest concentration of the prions which spread the disease are in the brain.

Kuru was a disease spread in a cannibal tribe in Papua New Guinea. They would consume the bodies of the dead. Women and children ate the brains and had the highest risk of contracting the disease.

Yeah, but its very rare for people to eat it and its usually treated more as medicine than as a food.

Lol That’s from eating human brain, like a cannibal. But still I agree I’d steer away from eating all types of brain, more risk associated with it than the meat parts.

Beef brain consumption has been linked to Variant Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease outbreaks in humans which lead to strict regulations about what parts of cattle can be sold for human consumption in numerous countries.
