China has developed long range missiles that have been dubbed “Guam killer ” britan is not a threat in the slightest and besides don’t they have a falling economy to fix
The United States surpassed the British empire itself in 1900 economically and militarily in 1940 and besides there foreign policy is decided in Washington watch Keir starmer kiss up to trump .Their economy outside of London is comparable to Mississippi whilst all their large-scale businesses are US owned, they basically have no native industrialism anymore and their military is America's b*tch. Even if these guys went full "Islamist" (lol) they are ZERO threat to the United States. The US owns Britain.
Britain is a weird place it produced modern history’s greatest economists to like Adam smith and John Keynes while currently having short sighted leaders who have been making arguably the biggest mistake from an economic perspective in this century BrexitTheir economy outside of London is comparable to Mississippi whilst all their large-scale businesses are US owned, they basically have no native industrialism anymore and their military is America's b*tch. That and I think the fact that power corrupts. They may have had good intentions going in but when presented with a fleeting opportunity to become fabulously wealthy without much actual work, most will take it in a heartbeat. Especially when they see that the future is clearly one of a ton of have-nots vs very few that have everything.I don't think they're short-sighted at all. I think they're bought and paid for elitists who fully knew they were f*cking over the British working and middle classes but simply didn't care because their class, the wealthy, would only grow more wealthy. Though I think there's some argument to be made that Thatcher was something of a really naive, short-sighted neoliberal zealot who didn't fully process how badly she was f*cking the British people over in the long-term with all that privatization. You get that sense later in her life when she and those close to her began voicing her regrets.
