Breaking: AS members split from AQ and want to form a group like HTS

Robow was in the same room with Bin Laden when 9/11 happened. Al Afghani participated in the Afghan war and had close networks with the other foreign Arab fighters. Some of the early founding members of Al Kabaab knew the AQ leadership personally. Godane eventually cleansed those guys as they were a threat to him like Al Afghani (HA SM).

And I heard Godane use to live Pakistan and could easily go from Hargeisa accent to a Hyderbadi one 😳

BTW these analysts should be challenged more on their claims. This dude just said shabab was doing some “howlgal fiican” in a Burco and SSC area without providing any evidence.

The other thing is HTS parted with AQ a long time ago. Shabab top brass are implicated in too many attacks against USA interests and most of them roam in secrecy. If they take over Somalia it would be more like the original Taliban and nothing like HTS.

HTS jolani was living an open existence with a bounty on his head. He was most likely in contact with USA admin over the past few years through Turkey . His Nusra front and later HTS have also been thwarting Dacish Syria so they’re lowkey seen as having some use.

Brainless Somalis always copy anything Ayrabs do. Whether it's suicide bombings, barbaric beheadings, or morphing their terror group into anything Ayrabs morphs into.

They also don't have a real ally. Turkey kept them on live support during 2016 offensive, brokered ceasefire on their behalf, trained and armed HTS. Al Shabaab has no comparable patron in the region. Infact, little resource they generate goes to fund other Al Qaeda branches abroad. This is very unlikely to happen especially with how decentralized AS cells are.

This is all hype. Unlike hts (who are not moderates, they are salafi Muslims) they don't have proper governance, they rule by gang tactics of fear, they don't even have successful quasai state they rule just one town.

What does aq even do anymore?? Same with daesh last time I heard of them they eere suicide bombing majids in Afghanistan (msulim country). They don't exist anymore.

That acount is unofficial AS propaganda spreader, he is verified. He is always first to post exclusive AS videos to twitter.

Al qaeda is practically dead, I don’t think AS leaders are in particular in a

Whats likely has happened is middle/upper tier commanders wanting more power which means the top leaders need to be discarded. Jolani did this, he climbed the ranks, succesfully used AQ to distance himself from Isis, then he betrayed AQ and cleansed them from his area. He also proved to be a capable politician, brokering alliances with other groups.

These vermin groups are full of power hungry men, ready to climb the ranks. The old guard are content on robbing somalis, they don’t want to do anything else.

I also guess these guys have seen 1st normalisation of Taliban and now normalisation of Jolani by the west/rest of the world. In order for them to not be bombed by the west, they need to denounce global jihad and focus solely on Somalia and drop khawariji ideology. Unlikely to happen.

Gaalada are slowly walking away from Somalia and if the push comes they will gladly walk away. Somalia is not that important.

Plus, you can see a difference in intelligence. If we are talking about human development index, these areas under Al Shabaab are terrifying. They can't lead the change, they can only destroy things in front of their ways.

Al Shabaab and the group in seeking a split from the organization to form a similar HST group have such inadequate ability to achieve similar success of which Jolani and the group had enjoyed at well.
