I do not understand this fixation by these leaders to keep inserting Somalia into powderkeg political conversations. Why aren’t they in Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta trying to attract investors for Somalia potential multibillion meat processing industry? Why aren’t they in Astana having conversations with the Kazakh mayors about their city beautification methods? Why aren’t they having discussions with Dutch agricultural and engineering experts for a sound water master plan and Green Revolution?

These failed Somali politicianw think by recognising Israel Somalia will have a bit of browny point and be taken seriously. Well news flash to him, we are seen as dirt poor that thave no say in any political sphere.
They could spin this as rezoning the state but not the nation. While President HMS can say what he wants it doesn't necessarily reflect Somalia's foreign policy. He should keep his mouth shut and focus on the Shabaab war as well as the mass flooding. Prioritize the nation ffs.

He won't. Somali politics is a banana republic. There is no accountability for those in power. He'll continue this way till his term ends, I just hope he gets back to the shabaab campaign cause at least that was something he seemed determined about. Can impeaching even happen? Has it ever happened before?
It is absolutely mindblowing how somali political elite behaves. They are there just to steal aid money and do nothing else. Gaalada are slowly cutting up aid so only then will the elite face the reality.
I suspect Hamza Barres supportive statement was for domestic audience and Hsm statement for foreigners. Nothing else.
