You say "uncontrolled environment with no censorship" even though the right do their own type of censorship, despite claiming to be free speech absolutists. We have seen this with Twitter & Elon Musk. They will just start shadowbanning things that don't align with their political views instead.
Twitter was a left wing spot (65% Dem vs 31% Rep) before Elon bought it. In 2024 it was nearly even Rep (47%) and Dem (48%), an accurate representation of the political oritentation of the populace. Democrats had no problem when it was >2:1, but without censorship and at 1:1 ratio they're fleeing to silo onto other platforms with curated feeds.
