This means we can become beholden to Ethiopia though. Every region choosing Ethiopia over fgs because Ethiopia can provide wealth while fgs really has nothing to offer at the moment. If HSM could provide roads power plants and projects from funds I’m sure more people would sign things and support centralizing. The independent revenue would be a lot more beneficial with help from Turks who aren’t predatory. The only reason Ethiopians have influence in Somalia is due Americans backing them financially and military.
Ethiopia land can sustain them they have plenty of rain good soil. Huge rivers and lakes . There is a reason why there population so big and our stayed small. Every Somalis live is mostly desert except for areas in south around Jubba and shebelle.
Ethiopia had Eritrea port for long time. Plus they have Kenya Somalia Sudan and Djibouti all vying for their business. Somalia has no leverage. Barely any roads and non existent safety. There is a reason Somalia doesn’t even get 2% of Ethiopia total port business. Ethiopia is bullying Somalia because it can not because of some critical need it can’t get anywhere else

why mention a port they lost? The reason Somalia doesn't have "leverage" is because Americand bankrolled am occupation force which Ethiopia is a part of.
