They're undermining themselves. The West has used these post-WW2 international institutions to signal stability and legitimize hegemon based on a legalist liberal framework where intergovernmental organizations got established to balance the Western-based paradigm that fundamentally propagated that those systems represented the highest form of integrity and progress, as opposed to clashing regionalities. Disregarding these systems sheds light on the apparent picture that these institutes were nothing more than what let the Western world set the rules of the game, rules they, at any time, could break. It shatters the illusion. But this is their needed mirage, so they only end up hurting themselves.
