Wasn't there stop and search in London before and they reported thar crime went drastically down after they implemented it.

When it was introduced by Sadiq Khan crime rates went up. It's gonna get people riled up even more and they'll use the racist card. That being said Stop and search doesn't actually lower crime rates at all and is just discriminatory, however, whilst it would definitely be a nuisance if I was being stopped and searched every time I go out, I wouldn't really care if it was brought back ngl
Glasgow had a very high stabbing rate which I believe mirrored Londons rate or even worse and was the murder capital of western europe. yet was lowered by taking a more humane approach where there were many programs set up to for at risk youths and gang members with awareness, courses to help with employment, mental health, education. Glasgow is relatively safe and I'd like to advice everyone to move here but I don't want English immigrants to my Scotland.

In all honesty, they should bring back stop and search. In addition, to bring that section 60 power it needs to be used for intelligence led purposes. Furthermore, what I anticipate that there will be an over representation of young people who would be stopped and searched due to the fact that they do commit serious criminality from muggings, selling drugs, stabbings and some cases shootings in the London area. Therefore, it is expected that there will disparities from age groups as well as in some cases ethnicity/ race from a statistical point of view.

Adeer, I never was stopped as a teenager because i never hangged out with saggids. If you tell your son to not hangout with saggids and concentrate on schoolwork then its going to be okay. Many of those somalis young guys who are getting stopped are either saggids who sell drugs or hangs out with saggids.
