I would agree when it comes to foreign policy. UK basically does whatever USA says so on foreign policy but I now think the USA business are pushing to take over domestic as well.

American business have bought up all of the United Kingdom’s assets fast food restaurants and American movies dominate the country

You can also see it in the cultural and language. In the last 25-30 years UK culture has just become American culture. They speak more and more like Americans every year too. Most of them don’t realize this because they don’t know where it comes from. They think it’s coming from them but as an American you can see the Americanization from a mile away. Sad.
