Canada has a housing crisis problem and it's not due to immigration.

Migrants are often used as scapegoats by the elites to distract them from the real economic and structural problems.

I think the other problem is that Canada accepts a high number of students but it doesn't look like they give them lodging or stipends or grants etc for them to sustain themselves without a job. That's what leads them to cue in droves low skilled jobs. Before accepting them you need to ensure they have some way to support themselves.
I think you might be interested in this they hit the nail on the head

Canada has still been accepting immigrants in 2022 it was 1 million

@Keep it a boqol Canadian Brian drain to America is going to increase X10 in the next 4 years if liberals are elected again

I read a study and it said 85 percent of Waterloo software grads move to the US expect that number to increase

Wallahi they should have let real estate market crash in 2008 deal with the pain like everyone else and broke up the monopolies that have a stranglehold over the Canadian market that are controlled by old money families then they could have borrowed a shit Ton of money while Interest rates were low to invest in the IT and manufacturing sectors every bubble has to burst 20 years of bad decisions are going to come back and hit them in the face like a boomerang North americas biggest financial crisis coming up

This just goes to show real estate is not a sustainable investment vehicle for economic growth.

Speculation and not Immigrants causes bubbles. Investors drive up prices beyond actual value. Housing becomes unaffordable, widening inequality. If demand or prices drop suddenly (as in Canada), the market crashes and affects the whole economy.

I am now very excited for Mark Carney and I will become a Liberal member again. I left the party about 10 years ago due to leftist Trudeau. Mark Carney is alot more fiscally and even more socially conservative than Poilievre. He's also anti-low skilled immigration.
I am with you on this ChristianFreedom

unfortunately cali is heading down a similar path housing is out of control it’s like 500K for a single family home and these 60yr old NIMBys hold to much sway over local governments the one thing that made that place desirable which is the IT sector is unraveling companies are leaving en mass and taking there offices and workers with them literally 53 % percent of the states population are considering leaving genuinely think Texas will overtake in 10 -15 years

This seems to be a trend in big blue states there to expensive and finding jobs is difficult Big demcorat states are losing electoral votes in 2030

Johnny Harris’s does a good video on liberal hypocrisy

Something I find very shocking is that a lot of the Boomer cadaans in my area are going to vote for Carney. These people are Catholics who typically voted for Conservative. The switch up is crazy.
Could u explain this to me? All i know is trudeau is stepping down and tht one guy who was going against him is conservative. Now whts goin. Did he lose? Did trudeau's party win?

The flight of businesses to red states to avoid taxes, de-indutralization by outsourcing, manufacturing and rise in housing costs is interlinked. They are linked to the same thing , it's rich elites chasing the profit motive rather than sustainable local development.

They want more for themselves and less for others. That's really what it comes down to.

Corporate Democrats in America are not really progressive or left they more like centre right in the european context

You can see it in how they pushed out real progressives and leftists like Bernie Sanders despite how popular he was because just like the conservative republican part they are funded by corporations that control them.

They ae voting Carney because of the Canadian dental care plan. It also got expanded with more people eligible to join for free dental care in May 2025 if the Federal Liberals win the election
