the old school generals trained the 90s generation of fighters in all major militias. so youre right the best ones are in their 50s its a good estimate. apply that to the rest of somalia too. our best fighters are mostly those trained by the old school generals.

But at least with the Somalia forces, they get regular training from the US, Turkey, EU etc. They also regularly receive light arms or personnel carriers/Humvees from these militaries.

He claims xamar because he lived there not because it belongs to his clan

No question, the combined strength of the SNA and the regional armies would finish Somaliland. It wouldn’t be pretty at all.

Don’t be fooled by the inability to defeat AS. Kenya/Uganda/Ethiopia were unable to beat them either.

Somalilands best fighters are in their 50s. Whereas Somalia regularly has foreign trained troops and new weapons.
You guys should quit this delusionment thinking that a "trained" SNA could submit Somaliland back to the union when you can't even defeat AS.

Somalis are tough people and no one can force us into something we don't want to that's why an invasion coming from Xamar soldiers who have little knowledge of Somaliland geography and ppl would face a tough resistance from the locals just like faqash did back in the 80s

In late 1980s SNM used thier people as human shields. Civilian causaulties occur when you decide to fight in populated cities like hargeisa instead of attacking army bases.
Faqash orphan boy your dear Aabo forces controlled major cities most of the 80s in the north and SNM did attack armed bases where they acquired heavy weapons to liberate cities and towns from your dirty rats xaarcun forces.

Neither can the better equipped AMISOM.

Nigeria, the largest economy in Africa, cannot beat Boko Haram.

Egypt cannot beat ISIL and Al-Qaeda in the Sinai.

Are they all weaker armies than Somaliland?

For the record, I don't condone tactics used by Bare's forces in the north but it's well documented that SNM decided to wear civilian clothes and this resulted higher civilian casualties. Ahmed Omar Jees who was in Burco at that time had a fallout with Siyad Bare after Aden Gabyow was arrested in Xamar and this was the main reason he allowed SNM to come to Burco. Ina Omar Jess was never a smart general and Beesha Isaaq should forever be indebted to him. Learn your history waryaa.

Read my reply fully when you have locals opposed to you you can't fully control them even if you have the best equipment most sophisticated military advanced weapon we just saw how the US 20 year long in Afghanistan just brought back Taliban in power.

All you said is bs SNM was popular among northern community as faqash forces used to harass and persecute locals and sometimes killing them discriminately without any reason is why many young people joined the movement and it has grown larger when the elders became part of it making the struggle a people's struggle against the dictatorship of Afweyne.
