That's JironLooool dont tell me this was eastleigh
i already new the first point but the second point to be fair i had no idea that a somali was an ambassador to south yemen and that dir somalis secured south yemen asistenceSomalis are an extremely emotional and unsettled bunch. Low IQ and high emotions can be a toxic mixture.
That thread is so wrong on many levels. I can never justify the starvation of Yemeni children due to the actions of a now defunct and non existent government.
The ignorance is astounding which is why a few things need to be clarified:
1) South Yemen was a Socialist/Communist Soviet proxy state who was at war with their own neighbors i.e North Yemen and were allied with Ethiopia based on political philosophy. They had no interest in establishing ties based on religious/cultural affiliations. They also had limited sovereignty which meant that they themselves were somewhat coerced to join.
2) Many of the leading figures of South Yemeni politics were themselves Somalis due to their historical connection with Aden. Many of the parliamentarians in Aden who voted to support Ethiopia were ethnic Somali Adenis (Isaaq/Warsans/Dhulbahantes).
3) The Ethiopian ambassador to South Yemen was an ethnic Somali politician named Ali Harare (Gadabursi Dir clan) who also became the first leader of Dire Dawa regional state. He was instrumental in gaining South Yemeni support in defending the territorial integrity of Ethiopia. This was an interview with Ali Harare and speaks about the war and his own role:
Having established that Somalis themselves were involved in a war AGAINST their own country, should innocent Somali kids bear responsibility?
Nobody has harmed Somalis more than Somalis themselves. Nobody has killed more Somalis than Somalis themselves. Nobody has deprived Somalis of their rights more than other Somalis. So the real enemy are Somalis themselves.
Even if we implicate the Yemeni government, how does that justify wishing harm on children who aren't politicians nor understand the technicalities that I just mentioned?
Should I be blamed for something that a Somali administration did 40 years ago?
Does Somali Nationalism = Revenge, retribution, anger, malice, hatred, animosity, conflict etc?
f*ck it! Being proud of being Somali doesn't mean I wish death on children. f*ck dat shit right there. Go to Hell.

@Cauli am not suprised cause this whole idea that somalis are disconnected from ethiopia whatever that means even though ethiopian just means amharas oromos and other residents of the now mordern state of ethiopia
to be fair i disagree with the notion of somalianess i think its nationalistic and a completly wrong notion it only came in to existence in the 1960s and was never their during adal ifat ajuraan times or even the entire history of northeast africa
the third point
deny it all you want somalis are nothing more the north east african muslim cushites not arabian muslim immigrants to the horn, we like the argobbas hararis afars converted to islam during the hijrah to what was then described as abysynia to think you are arabs and that arabs are going to help you is one of the primary reasons why we are the most despised group in africa who reject our true origins no wonder that we got rejected by our horn brotehrs and even the bantus are expanding in tou home
ps hararis afars and even oromos are muslims so asking for help from arabs becosue of islam is a lie you want help becosue you think you are arabs
either we make up with the rest of the horn or be destroyed forever its youre choice cause arabs are not coming to save you
i honestly liked and retweeted his posts all becosue the guy was making fun of the arab bootyclappers who think the arabs would save them becosue they share a religion all in the while putting arab christians ahead of them, although i disagreee with mocking starving children@geeljire madaxweyne
Low IQ cannot detect nuances. This stuff is beyond comprehension level of most Somalis who only mainly exhibit emotional outbursts.
Having said that, I understand the sentiments of the guy two made the Tweet. A Syrian life is worth more than an African one with Muh Ummah folks. f*ck em.
That's why it makes more sense to support an Ethiopian Christian over a Syrian Muslim.

his point is clear stop putting arabs ahead of our own people or asking their help when you are not an arab
somalis are not arabs we are simply muslim somali cushites of north east africa or the horn of africa our closest muslim brothers are the hararis afars oromos and of course the 20 percent amhara muslims and tigres
somalis should be asking for help from eritrea a country that hates ethiopia and a country that loves somalis more then any other country in the world
sadly they put arabs on a pedestol ahead of our brothers eritreans hararis afars and yes even the christian eritreans
the only country that helped somalia alot was the turks who helped us with charity they even built the infrestructure sometimes for almos nothing our roads bridges ports even supporting adn training the somali militaryFundraising for charity isnt "saving" anyone , nor will it transform Yemen. These oppression rankings and imagined scenarios you guys invent appear to stem from deep inferiority complexes and confusion about identity. I thought you anon types were supposed to be the opposite of the SJWs LOL.
There were private fundraisers for Somalia all over Arab media in 2011 during the Somali famine. The claim that no similar charity appeals were made for Somalia can be easily disproven by a Google search. That was the same year Turkey became a major donor to Somalia ( hint not part of your imagined "Cushite" alliance).
Its only when your fragile identity delusions are placed against another (Arabs, Africans, Muslims whatever) that you trolls suddenly care about all Somalis and their wellbeing. Meanwhile this forum is littered with people mocking Somali misfortune over petty qabil grievances. Perverse and embarassing.

, the arabs did not even provide charity instead they sent all their money to palestine and dont mention the uae they are ripping somaliland of their ports and tried to curropt the president of sommalia the qataris started building roads becouse we supported them over uae its all itnrests they dont care about us
face it you are not an arab you are nothing more then a selfhating cushite or confused horn of african or north east african ou are nothing more the a cushite and youre closest reletives are the amharas tigres tigrinyas afars, hararis osv:siilaanyolaugh:

Um I’m actually just drinking fresh salty tears@A_A
Warsangeli made up some of the earliest Somali settlers in Aden, South Yemen well before independence from Britain and many were affiliated to the Socialist parties which ruled South Yemen.
Fancy having sand for suhoor tomorrow?
