You need to try it, I'm sure you'll be advocating for it up north in no time.Listen here, you double x-chromosomal dimorphic anthropomorph, I don't appreciate your southern culinary ideological projection.
Cambuulo iyo BunI’m not kidding, I think I have cambuulo nearly every day. It’s such a nice snack. I’m even tempted to bring it into my packed lunch so I can have it on my lunch break. My favourite combination is cambuulo, a lot of salid macsaro, and then a lot of sugar. When you heat it up, the sugar and oil mix together and it tastes soooo nice, and then a nice cold glass of barax to accompany it.
Shoutout to our ancestors. I’ll forever be grateful for this delicacy.
Also, cambuulo is a native Somali dish that’s unique to us, it’s one of one. No benadiri, indian, yemeni or Italian can say they put us on .![]()
I've tried it. It tasted fibery, dry, and kind of bland since I would not add sugar or anything to it.You need to try it, I'm sure you'll be advocating for it up north in no time.
The shaax is so good. Way better than what the brits do. We Make everything ssweeterI will last time I went I got addicted to shaax though it’s so delicious back homes
May be egyptianzAre we Egyptians or Swahili or Mexicans? Beans isn’t a meal.
I call it masagow (sorghum) and qamadi?(barley). I’ve tried both back when I used to have them during Ramadan when iftar was really late and I wouldn’t feel the slightest bit hungry. Makes sense why nomads prefer it.As a nomad, I prefer sorghum (garow) and barley (sareen) instead, both are stable diet rich in proteins, and other minerals.
Is this the same dish people call 'badar' ?
Definitely, a southern dish, I discovered recently, but had it without sugar, no rice, and with yoghurt & olive oil, and did not like it at first till I learnt about its kCal & protein compounds, and it is now a stable stock for heavy gym days.
I heard northerners eat it but they call it digirCambuulo slaps idc what y'all say and tolkey don't act like y'all don't eat it![]()
