Can somalis claim ancient egypt??

Genetically, the closest to the Ancient Egyptians are actually modern day Egyptians.

I don't see why would claim others history, it's clearly them. Just from a geographical & logical perspective.

They are our cousins in DNA, language and culture to some extent too but no, only modern Egyptians and Sudanis have any claim to the Nile Valley civilizations.

They're not indigenous because they've mixed too much. They migrated from Europe and the middle east, hence why they're lighter. The real North Africans are of darker skin like the Tuareg and look more Horner.
the reason why they have lighterskin is because they tend to live on mountainous terrains. countries in the North are really cold with a hot sun. Because the lighter skinned amazigh live in mountains to the far north they adapted and became fairer skinned. The southern amazigh have darker skin because of west/central African ancestry and also because of adapting (rather not adapting to cold climates). Tuareg and sahrawi live in sandy areas that is hot and have darker skin. Bur rif, Kabyle and Chaoui peoples live in colder mountain regions.

Until we find some (archaeological) evidence that points to it, then no. Otherwise we'll look like AAs(descendants of West Africa) and Cadaans (wtf, they'd burn to a crisp if they set foot in the Sahara desert, no way these guys have a claim) who claim it with no evidence :manny: I do notice the many eerie similarities between us and them though :hmm:
