Just came back from Somalia again, and it was a nice trip. Wanted to go back for a bit after turning 18 and it was nice, but one thing people found odd about me is that I don't talk to women. in my previous visit I stayed there for 2 years, and I was told to never look at a woman's eyes when speaking to them. In the states I grew up in an environment where I stayed away from other Somali girls and almost never interacted with them. complete 180 now that I am 18, parents are telling me to talk to girls now. I understand that I am young, but they also told me if I can't start now, it gets harder and harder as time goes by. I also live in a big city but with a low Somali population. But to get back on track how does one begin talking with the opposite gender?

Make no distinction when it comes to gender, don't put her on a pedestal, treat them like you would any good friend, remember women like to talk, so explore the wild and add random girls on Instagram/Snapchat and comment on their stories and the number 1 rule, don't fear rejection, make sure your stories are interesting, you dropping into her dm was the bait, if she interested in you she will reply back to your stories.

Rules(I know these are obvious but the amount of men I know who don't follow this):
Be well groomed, trim that beard/moustache and get a decent cut.
Nice clean clothes
Good hygiene(daily showers, brush twice a day, floss, mints.)
Hit the gym.
Have a career path.
Invest in your hobbies.
Stay away from deadbeat friends.

you don't need to do all of this + you shouldn't be treating them like how you would treat a friend
