I think Habar Awal in Toronto is over-estimated. Ottawa/HY is true though, almost every Isaaq you come across happens
to be that clan specially Musa Ismail & Musa Carre they seem deep there..

Too many Gadhwayn in Ottawa lol They run the SL community centre and the Islamic school here. There's probably just as much HA here as well, especially kuwii Jabuutiga yimid. I think Ciidagale are the largest among Isaaq in Tdot. Scarborough aka Salaxley

Winnipeg apparently has the most depressing Somali community in Canada - at least according to my mom's friend.

@methylamine No she told me this before I saw that video. There's no hope for Somalis there if they didn't come before the age of 18 because they don't even have adult schools. And apparently there are Somalis there in common-law marriages. It's also really cold as well.

And I think HY and HA are also the largest Isaaq subclans in Toronto. Tbh, you and menace are the only reasons why I know of ciidagale.

My ogaden friend was telling me recently how there are barely any OGs here. But Toronto has a relatively equal amount of Darood and Hawiye people.

There were many in the west end but they've moved to Alberta. Still, though, Isaaq are a minority in the city.

There are also Somalis who live in Hamilton and Kitchener/Waterloo, but I don't know the demographics of those cities (but they're more community-minded than Torontonians). Alhamdulillah, Trudeau is restoring the mandatory long form censuses, so we shall see the growth of Somalis in 2016.

KW is Marehan dominated with HGs coming in close second with a negligible smattering of MJs and HA. Same story holds for Steeltown (Hamilton) and London. There are no MJs in London, so I don't know what the OP is talking about. The only place I've ever seen a significant MJ population is in ratchet West Toronto and Etobicoke.
