It's not easy because it's too easy to be fooled!!! Especially on the chase for love. . .
You'd never know who is behind that computer/cellphone?!
[Whether that person be themself or if you're talking to their manager/representative/family members/handler speaking as them, nor their intents as far romance goes.]
You wouldn't even know whether their profile account/phone number is compromised (by some scammer hackers posing as them.)]
Sometimes people use third party mediums to talk to others.
Met a Filipina woman once over the phone who said she managed with some moderators date appointments because it was safer for the girls rather than the girls directing their own messages before meet-up. Or how on Twitter that the celebrities would have their managers make posts for them to keep their profiles more official & less personal. Sometimes, (Like I met a girl in South Africa once) who often shared her phone with her brother so her brother would type for her most times even though she would tell him what to say when he was borrowing her phone.
It's not a bad safety precaution though it's not the most honest but it keeps things kosher among everyone if everyone agrees that it isn't as private as maybe it should of have been.
The internet digital world also is not an easy place to navigate but advice like mine will keep the general public informed to use their best choice making ahead.

Even if you are communicating with the other person by video, never be assure you first aren't on a recorded (or hacked line) and also it's very possible the other party (the girls) maybe directed with texts/prompts and earpieces on what to say & do (and react.)

You would never want to do something this foolish because this is dangerous without knowing the person on a close basis intimately. This is very bad simping that'll get good people hurt & mucked.
There's nothing wrong with having a person you dear upmost at heart when you actually know them but trust me when I say that loving a person you cannot have is no good for anyone!
