But what kills me is when he sings Maay songs there's loads of Somalis in the comments saying "Im Somali and I don't understand maay and this white guy is singing and translating it"

Little do they know that the language they're looking down upon was probably spoken by their ancestors as many clans and sub clans have Maay names . Diversity should be embraced .

There should be more pressure on enforcing local dialects being spoken before maxatiri gains more popularity wether it's Af Maay in Bay Bakool and Gedo, Af Dabarre in Diinsoor, Af Jiido or Af Garre in Qoryooley, Af Dhoobey in Afgooye and Awdheegle , Af Maadoonte along the coast and Chimini and Af Tunni in Barawa.
