Sixir is recognised by Islam as simple as that and given we had 30 years of civil war coupled with the lack of an education system that rendered a majority of Somalis to become illiterates, the Sixir business is booming. It’s an industry now. There are few Sixir threads on this page and the next, where young Somalis born and raised in the diaspora are hotly discussing how their family members have been sixired. These are the facts.

Not sure if you have ever been to Somalia - the 1 thing they are not lacking in is Islamic education - all they do is go Dugsi from morning till evening - learning the quran and deen.

Hence why we are 1 of the most hafiz producing Muslim countries.

You could've just said i dont agree with you, that sixir is a problem all over but you're implying it's more of an issue in Somali community which is clearly 100% made up lie

To back your view point you came with a few YouTube vids of Somali sheikhs who probably only mentioned the fact that Sixir is major sin.

It's not even a competition, almost every Pakistani person i have met out right told me it's a big issue in their country, and there is nothing that need to be said about the west african folk.

London is pretty multicultural, the other muslim countries like Afghans, bangolis etc. from my experience don't bang on about Sixir every otherday like the other groups I mentioned.

I have no experience with West Africans and Pakistanis. I met a Ugandan guy and took him to dinner. We went to a Somali restaurant. We met in commute and he was new to town. So I offered to show him around. He didn't mention anything outside of the ordinary except that he is fluent in 27 languages. He said he could learn Somali within six months if he lived with Somalis.

I even take white people to the Somali restaurants to introduce them to our food when they finish projects in our facility sometimes. There are cool and clean food joints popular with people owned by somalis.

Paid for white couple's food once who were eating at that restaurant. I told the waiter I will pick the tab for them. They wanted to thank me somehow after they recovered from their surprise shock. I told them they were nice to drop by and explore our food.

Somalis are my kinsmen. Why would I not be nice to them? I am from Somalia and my culture is in tact. Unlike some on here who are unrecognizable for a Somali because of their behavior and extreme self-hate.

They are like born out of wedlock and never ate a Somali mother's food. Disgusting.
