Sxb the tallest tower/building in Somalia is the Masjid Alhamdulillah, but at least they have skyscrapers and 5 star hotels. The chechen war was after Somalia's war, and they recovered before Somalia. So having a "5 mile radius area" is pretty much an achievement.

My guess is before islam, but those days we weren't like this. If you had traveled all corners of Somalia those days other qabil will welcome you, you did not need to worry about food or where to stay

I agree. Hoyoo always said Qabil came from the arabs and we adopted it just like we did with Islam. It has to be recent, if it wasn't recent we wouldn't be calling each other Somali.

It had to have had been. The math doesn't lie. Shaikh Isaq apparently and conveniently showed up somehwere in the 12th-13th century. Jaberti(Darood) apparently and conveniently showed up in the 9th century just couple hundreds years after the advent of Islam. To this day we don't have a single Somali clan that can trace their lineage all the way back to before Islam came.

Guys Islam did not create the tribes for example the nilotics, Bantu some of them are Muslim and the others are Christian. Not everything wrong we throught at Islam.
