Classical Arabic is the best language to ever exist

Some person in this forum is so stupid as to assert that just because our entire religion, the best religion to ever exist on this earth, with the best book from God, is in Arabic, does not make Arabic the best language.

This is what happens, when you go so deep in your inferiority complex, you cannot accept that your own religions language is better than your own language.

Every Muslim with a little bit of knowledge knows classical Arabic is the best most eloquent beautiful language, and it was used to give us the best most beautiful greatest book to ever exist, to even say that Arabic isn't the best language shows how misguided your logic is.

Kacaan shouldn't have adopted and promoted the Latin script as we would have been now fluent in Arabic as it would have remained as our main official legal and political language furthering our closeness with the Arab world :banderas:

Just because Arabic is gods chosen language to reveal the quran in doesnโ€™t mean it the greatest language. Allah revealed the torah in Hebrew does that also mean we should learn Hebrew.

Also we are Somali our language and heritage is Somali our religion is Islam but our language is not Arabic.

Agreed. There is not a single language that has a better grammar structure, that is more beautiful to the ears, that is more soothing to the soul, than the language the Quran was revealed in.

It's so sad how the Arabs butchered this amazing language into the lahjas that we have today. :mjcry:

actually Hebrew is a Semitic language and a great one, Allah chose an entire lineage of Prophets to come from Hebrew Prophets and sent down multiple books in Hebrew, just because we don't follow Judaism now doesn't mean we can deny the superiority of the Hebrew language and the past Jews who Allah favoured over all nations at the time.

I am not calling for eliminating Somali, thats stupid every Muslim nation should have its original language plus Arabic as their languages, if you look around the world all nations keep their language and learn arabic as part of their culture since being Muslim and Arabic are linked together.

Do you think Allah chose the language because it was great or because it was apart of the plan he bad in mind.

There is a hadith that states there are thousands of messengers who were sent to every nation. That means islam came in many different languages. I dont think 1 is superior to another.

It is both.
Islam may have been sent to every nation but not in every language.
Example is Christianity, we know the story in surah kahf and surah yaseen, many of these people would not have spoken hebrew, yet, the disciples would go to different countries and give dawah to them, these people would also be labelled messengers in the sense that they conveyed the message of Islam to a people

another way of looking at it is that Isa was still a messenger to them, the message of the Prophet was just carried out by other ppl. same way the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasalam is a messenger to the entire world(every language ever) but the Message is in Arabic, it just must be translated by people and conveyed to them, despite this, they must still learn arabic to do shaahdah, pray 5 times a day

so, with every nation, there may have been a main nation, which was sent a message in the best language at the time, and then the ppl conveyed the message to other cities around them who spoke different languages, in this way they were sent a messenger but it doesn't necessitate it was in their language

Okay we can recognise Arabic for its religious significance but Somalis should still predominantly be speaking Af-somali. Arabic can be a secondary language.

this literally has nothing to do with somali, i never even mentioned that in my post, if you want me to talk about Somali, we dont talk Somali enough, especially in the diaspora, most somalis should be speaking Somali amongst themselves if they are not talking to ajnabis, we should never lose the language
you can have 2 languages in your country at once, many countries have this, the culture is maintain through Somali, and the values of the people in religion is shown through that fact we understand arabic and speak it sometimes

Bisinka. The obsession with all things Arab on this site reached a crisis point. Every day I see 10-15 news threads of 'Arabs this, Arabs that'. If only there was a way to mute that word here. Sick of it.

We have been speaking our own language long before we had scripts for and yet Arabic we had no problem learning Arabic and writing in that language.
Somali language is slowly getting engulfed by Arabic loan words.
