4.5 means there’s no more seats to give. They could take from SL and PL tho and have centralist President control the process.

Also it doesn’t make sense to have another state given the borders of it. Not enough control over Sanaag and Sool.

But tbh swapping it for Banadir state wouldn’t be a bad idea.
That means Benadir will have to take from Hiirshabelle and Galmudug, no? I think best is to get rid of 4.5.

HSM already said Somalias borders are non-negotiable, why are people making it seem he is anti-khaatumo and pro SL. Its upto to the people of Sool & Sanaag to decide their fate. When consensus has been reached, I expect HSM to make an official stand on this issue. Right now he has bigger issues to worry about.

Hawiye have to much cuqdad against Daroods to give them a 3rd federal state, they rather conspire with the secessionists than keep the country together, thats How cuqdad ridden these people are
I don’t think so, Hawiye would have created Banadir as a state if they had the power sxb.

it’s just that no new federal states are gonna be allowed it’s UNSOM/IC who are against it.

It’s not Upto Hawiye, it’s not Upto Darood.

2.5 power sharing on the federal member state level , 2 Darood 2 Hawiye .5 raxanweyn

That’s the formula IC use while treating Somaliland as a seperate entity to Southern Somalia.

HSM seems indifferent to Khatumo, recognition would be declaring war on Somaliland and will shut down any prospects of the Somaliland-Somalia talks FGS would be forced to engage them military he doesn't want to go down that route he prefers the status quo especially being bogged down with Al-shabaab in the South so no help is coming for Dhulbahante
Somaliland is left in a sticky situation either they ignore whats happening which will be embarrassing for them having the blue flag flying in their backyard jeopardising their independence struggle and claims to clear defined borders needed for international recognition or take military action which would result in bad press and lots of civilian casualties
A war definately would help with recognition. Usually recognition happens now a days via peace talk settlement (example eritrea, south sudan). Problem is a whole lot of killing would have to take place. Somaliland would have to shift our PR campaign to from peaceful nation in the Horn to "the long unsettled recognition has now lead to instability" and now must be settled.
