Its possible, I'm a living proof of it

There has to be a really good religious reason for separation. If you separated in order to live by Shariah even I would support it and rush to live there but until then separation is dooqonimo of the highest order.

Not really, Seperation can lead to greater stability, i.e full soverignty and control of your borders, it can be very beneficial. Just look at Puntland, since the softie Gaas took charge with his anti-seperatist, (we're all the same) attitude, there has been a gradual increase in Al-Shabab infiltration and conflict in southern Puntland. Anti-Seperation leads to conflict

A Somali story tells of a man who had several sons. As they grew, they began to fight with each other. The father was in danger of losing his farm because his sons were so busy fighting that they were not attending to the animals and the crops. So, he called them all together and gave each of them a stick. He asked them to break the stick. Being strong young, men they could do so easily. Then he gathered all the broken sticks into a bundle, tied it, and gave it to the sons. He said, "Now break the sticks." They could not. "You must work together,” he said, “or your enemies will easily break you, one by one, like a single stick."

Phff.

The tiny Somali ethnic group that is half the size of Tokyo already has two countries. The Kurds and the Oromos and the Yoruba and the Uyghur and other much larger ethnic groups don't have their own countries so why should a tiny ethnic group get to have 3 or 4 or 5 or 10 countries?

If Puntland or Somaliland ever get independence, there will be more separatist groups lobbying and fighting for their own country.

Either unite your tiny ethnic group or give your UN seat up to some other well deserved people.

If it was up to me, Somalis would have no country and be a Western country's beach resort.

I'll tell you something that isn't up to you: if you ever change your mind and want Khatuumo as its own country, know that it'll never happen.

Kibir!

I don't. Not unless they wish to implement full Shariah!

Why do you assume so? I think you should be more open minded.

Saying is one thing, doing is another.

Somalis don't even divide their deceased father's assets using Islamic inheritance rules. In one case you'll hear the daughter took everything or the eldest son in the diaspora inherited less than the baby who lives in Somalia.

What you're dreaming of is a tough row to hoe. It'll never happen so you are better off joining I.S.

How do ur family feel about u being a homosexual? Do u keep in touch with them? U do realise Somalia will never ever accept ur gay western ideology agenda, can that be one of the reasons u hate Somalia

You're a fool if you still believe that he's a homosexual

Bullshit of the highest order. Puntland already operates as its own country with its own army and rules. Don't act like they have been restricted by the central government. Al shabab would have gone into Puntland with or without ictiraaf.

Why should one ethnic group with the same culture and religion split into ten different countries? There's literally no logical reason behind it. Splitting up the rich resources of the country (Oil in puntland, Agricultural land in the South, the gulf of Aden in Somaliland) only makes each region individually poorer in the end. And the fifteen different armies in the country would be much stronger under one unified army of Somalia. I simply don't understand you people.
