Somaliland Minister of Commerce tried to remove tariffs for a businessmen.

DPW denies it citing we can't give certain individuals preferential treatment. We manage the port and tariffs competitively and fairly.

I wonder how many times these corrupt politicians were going it before

I like DPW even more now

No nonsense approach should be taken to make sure that these greedy xoolo can’t steal. Even a project as important for Somalis as Berbera port and these lowlifes still wanna be corrupt. The port brings unlimited opportunities for lacag instead of going the generic route and importing the same stuff as everyone else and using corruption to cut corners they should think outside the box and make halal money

DPW really shut that minister up.

It's all kulmiye ever since they took charge tribalism increased all developments went to galbeed.

If the Brits didn't take charge of SDF 2 we wouldn't have any projects in Maydh and Erigavo.

Those businessman were working in the port for years.

If they start to go to PL really will affect SL badly.

I think they should have agreement between two sides.

Walaal waa stupidnimo the city now has potential to become a major city for business and trade in the horn. The project has even got off the ground properly yet they’re already starting corrupt practices. Ministers should have a one strike rule for things like this. These taxi drivers wanna put people back down. This is an important move by DPW it will strengthen people’s confidence in their ability to do business there thus making it more appealing. Gacan baan uu taagay the emirati dhegacas:salute:

Hopefully Berbers will become a good city for trade so Somalis no longer have to rely on Bantu and zulu xoolo who kill people for no reason

corruption is one of the largest hindrances to development. a road that couldve been built in 2 years takes 10 and reforms that could've been implented in a year can take 30. hopefully SL is able to tackle corruption efficiently in the near future

Well good thing DPW don't let them.

How can a private company care more about the citizens then the govt

Shameful, and that minister still has a job
