Yes, but people are still amazed at how some powerful empires collapsed throughout history, most did not see it coming but it happened. History is filled with the rise and fall of empires it is the sunnah of Allah SWT. It is inevitable that the zionists would be defeated and Palestine and Masjid al Aqsa returns to the Muslims.
Beside that, Ilan Pappe is an Israeli Jew and a historian, he is describing internal realities in the zionist state that he is convinced will lead to a collapse.
It is interesting because you can see it from the outside, the old guard secular european jews who created and maintained the state are losing control to religious fanatical messianic jews from the Muslim world, they are not the ones who created the state but they are inheriting it due to their higher fertility rates in comparison to the secular european jews. Also, he mentions how most of the israelis fleeing due to instability are the same dual national european jews who are also taking their capital with them for more stable lives elsewhere.
The jews from the arab world are more fanatical, religious, less strategic, and have the most maximalist claims. That is the new zionist states. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
